My Chilean daughter (of the heart), Ale, is going to have her first baby in April. She just sent me this picture of her taken this week (it is summer in Chile now). Her little preggers belly is just too cute for words!
Ale lived with us for a year as an AFS student in 96-97 and she will be part of our family forever. Our families have visited back and forth several times since she left. All six of us were able to go to Chile for her wedding and Ale, her husband Francisco, and her mom and sister came to visit us after Ella was born.
I can't wait to meet our little Chilean granddaughter next October when Ale and her family come to Houston for Andy's wedding (Ale is a bridesmaid).
Although I have been saying I am going to learn Spanish for over a decade, I have new incentive now. Hopefully, I can learn along with Ella so she will be able to go to Chile with me someday to play with her South American cousin.

And of course, Ale has the perfect little round pregnant belly. I can't wait to hear what they decide to name her!
